The practice of maintaining financial and budget reporting, the establishment of its formation processes in accordance with best European practices, and effective management of public finances were discussed on January 31 during a meeting between the Deputy Head of the Accounting Chamber, Serhiy Klyuchka, with the Director of the Finance Department of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration, Petr Lazar, and the department's specialists.
With the entry into force of changes to the relevant legislation, the Accounting Chamber may conduct audits related to the receipt and use of funds from local budgets.
As Serhiy Klyuchka noted during the meeting, in preparation for including such audits in the Activity Plan, the Accounting Chamber is studying in detail the current situation regarding financial reporting in the regions. In turn, Petro Lazar spoke about the peculiarities of these processes in his department and generally expressed interest in cooperation with the Accounting Chamber in the indicated direction.

Also during the working trip, Serhiy Klyuchka and the head of the Territorial Department of the Accounting Chamber for the Transcarpathian region (in the city of Uzhgorod) Yuriy Zhurki took part in the opening of the Center for Human Rights Protection in the Transcarpathian region - a regional representative office of the Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine. The event was attended by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets, the Representative of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Ukraine Carolina Lindholm Billing, the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration – the Head of the Regional Military Administration Myroslav Biletsky, the Mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriyiv and others.

Sergiy Klyuchka congratulated the Center team on the opening and wished them fruitful work, trust and support from citizens. The center itself is located in the Accounting Chamber building.
«I hope that this neighborhood will build another bridge for productive cooperation between our institutions. It is very important that, despite the war and its challenges, the citizen is gradually becoming the center of all processes in our state, and attention is growing to respecting the rights and freedoms of Ukrainians," concluded Serhiy Klyuchka.

Let us recall that earlier, the Head of the Accounting Chamber, Olga Pishchanska, also held a number of meetings with representatives of the authorities in the regions.
