Financial Audit, Compliance audit and Ethical Culture: Training Sessions in Three Areas Were Held at the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine
In July, employees of the Accounting Chamber with the support of the Component 5 of the EU4PFM Programme had the opportunity to enhance their professional skills in financial audit, compliance audit and ethical culture of professional interaction.
Financial audit training sessions for territorial units focused on practical aspects of the work in accordance with international standards covering everything from planning to the formulation of conclusions, with working off typical case studies and working with audit evidence.
In July, within strengthening professional competences, the training on compliance auditing began and will last until September. Participants will address topics such as understanding the subject of the audit, risk assessment, working papers, evidence documentation, and approaches to verifying auditees' compliance with legislation and procedures, as well as consider the peculiarities of strategic planning and determination of audit criteria, preparation of reasoned conclusions.
Training sessions on ethical culture of professional interaction focused on fostering teamwork and effective communication, as well as strengthening a role of managers in building trust within an institution and ethical leadership. More than 180 employees participated in this training, ranging from senior specialists and state auditors to heads of structural divisions.
The implementation of these activities is part of the systematic assistance provided to the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine under Component 5: External Audit and Parliamentary Oversight of the EU4PFM Programme and is aimed at enhancing institutional capacity, implementing European auditing practices, and strengthen internal collaboration.
