Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy Considers Findings of Financial Audit of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine

On 14 July, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy considered the Accounting Chamber’s report on the financial audit of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (SATD).

The audit identified certain shortcomings in SATD’s accounting practices, depreciation and amortisation charges, financial statement disclosures, and certain payments to its employees. Based on the audit findings, the Accounting Chamber issued four recommendations to SATD and one to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

Olena Larionova, Head of the Infrastructure Control Division within the Accounting Chamber’s Department for Control (Audit) in Energy, Natural Resource Management and Infrastructure, presented the audit findings to the Members of Parliament serving on the Committee.

She stated that the Accounting Chamber had confirmed the reliability of SATD’s financial and budgetary statements. However, the auditors expressed a qualification concerning the failure to recognise amortisation for one of its intangible assets. Olena Larionova also noted that SATD had duly responded to the Accounting Chamber’s recommendations and had already reported on their implementation status.

Natalya Tabaka, Chairperson of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine, who attended the meeting, also stated that all audit recommendations would be implemented within the specified deadlines.

Following its consideration of the report, the Committee took note of the findings of the financial audit of SATD.

The Committee recommended that SATD and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine ensure the proper implementation of the recommendations set out in the Accounting Chamber’s decision and inform the Committee of their implementation status by 30 October 2026. The Committee also recommended that the Accounting Chamber continue to monitor and analyse progress in implementing the recommendations.
