The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Transport and Infrastructure during its meeting on June 16 considered Report of the Accounting Chamber on the results of the financial audit of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety for 2024.
The auditors established that the financial statements of Ukrtransbezpeka were prepared reliably in all material respects and in accordance with national accounting standards in the public sector, however they have certain distortions and shortcomings. In addition, accounting issues have not been fully resolved and the document flow schedule has not been approved.

Among other things, the Accounting Chamber was unable to obtain sufficient acceptable audit evidence regarding assets worth UAH 15 million and liabilities worth UAH 150 thousand, since Ukrtransbezpeka does not have information about its facilities that are in temporarily occupied territories.
As noted during the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Accounting Chamber, Serhiy Klyuchka, who is responsible for the audit, who joined online, to date, Ukrtransbezpeka has corrected errors worth UAH 30 million, and errors worth UAH 7 million remain uncorrected. In addition, Serhiy Klyuchka informed the people's deputies that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has already considered this Report of the Accounting Chamber and instructed the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, as well as Ukrtransbezpeca, to completely eliminate the identified shortcomings.

Following the results of the review, the Committee took note of the Report of the Accounting Chamber and decided to inform the Prosecutor General's Office about certain facts revealed by the audit.
During the next meetings, the Committee members plan to hear representatives of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety regarding their implementation of the recommendations of the Accounting Chamber.
