As part of the EU4Reconstruction preparatory mission in Ukraine, on May 6, the Head of the Accounting Chamber, Olga Pishchanska, met with the public investment management expert of the EU4Reconstruction mission, Mathieu Tossig, and experts from Expertise France.

During the meeting, they discussed, among other things, the measures taken by the Accounting Chamber within the framework of the implementation of the Strategy for Reforming the Public Finance Management System, and the prospects for the institution's participation in the implementation of the measures of the Roadmap for Reforming Public Investment Management.
The EU4Reconstruction program is being developed by the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine together with France, Germany, Denmark and Lithuania. The purpose of the program – supporting a strategic, inclusive and EU-coordinated recovery of Ukraine.

As reported by Olga Pishchanska, over the past two years, the Accounting Chamber has been actively ensuring the implementation of the measures of the aforementioned Strategy for the development of a supreme audit institution with an appropriate mandate and the full implementation of INTOSAI international standards in the activities of the Accounting Chamber.
«Given the need for large-scale post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, the question of how this process will be ensured and how control over the use of funds allocated for these purposes will be exercised is being addressed. The Accounting Chamber, as an independent external auditor, is part of the financial control system, and for its high-quality implementation, a clear division of powers and their proper implementation by all elements of this system are important, – noted Olga Pishchanska.

T. in. Mr. Secretary of the Accounting Chamber Vasyl Nevyadomy informed the partners, in particular, about the experience of conducting audits related to public investment projects, recovery projects, audits in the reform sectors enshrined in the Ukraine Facility Plan.
During the meeting, the partners were also interested in the features of the Accounting Chamber's strategic and risk-oriented planning, the quality management system, and future audits in the field of public investments.

Following the meeting, the Head of the Accounting Chamber,Olga Pishchanska, confirmed her readiness to continue to maintain mutually beneficial communication with the EU4Reconstruction program.
