The value of external audit for the judicial system, the difference between audit and revision, the features of implementing state external control measures - these are the key topics outlined by Kyrylo Klymenko, a member of the Accounting Chamber, during a lecture at the National School of Judges of Ukraine. The event on the topic "Audit of the Accounting Chamber as a tool for increasing the efficiency of justice" was held on April 23 in the format of a lecture and discussion.

The lecture was attended by over 400 listeners - employees of court staff and territorial departments of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, responsible for accounting, financial planning and reporting, and material and technical support of courts.

Kyrylo Klymenko emphasized: the key goal of the Accounting Chamber's activities - positive changes in state policy and the life of every Ukrainian. He paid special attention to the performance audit on the topic of "Organizational support of the activities of judicial bodies", which is currently underway. According to a member of the Accounting Chamber, within the framework of this control measure, the level of material and technical, personnel and financial support of local and appellate courts is analyzed.
«The Accounting Chamber identifies not only problems in the activities of the objects of control, but also the causes of their occurrence and provides recommendations for their elimination. Audits – are opportunities for improving state policy. Therefore, the objects of control should be interested in conducting them», – emphasized a member of the Accounting Chamber.
During the discussion, the audience was also interested in the specifics of the implementation of the civil servant remuneration reform (the consequences of its implementation are currently being analyzed by the Accounting Chamber as part of one of its audits).

The head of the staff of the National School of Judges of Ukraine Zenovy Kholodniuk thanked Kyrylo Klymenko for participating in the lecture session.
