An audit of the activities of the Bureau of Economic Security has begun

The Accounting Chamber has launched a compliance audit on the topic of “Combating Offenses that Encroach on the Functioning of the State Economy”. Its goal is to analyze and evaluate the activities of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine from the moment of its establishment until 2024 inclusive, since in conditions of limited financial resources, the ability of authorized bodies to effectively combat relevant offenses is important.

Responsible for the audit is Yelizaveta Pushko-Tsybulyak, a member of the Accounting Chamber. Specialists of the Department of Control (Audit) in the field of law enforcement and anti-corruption activities, as well as territorial divisions of the Accounting Chamber, will be involved in the implementation of this control measure.

The auditors will examine the adequacy and compliance with the legislation of the regulatory framework, organizational and managerial decisions, material, technical and financial support for the performance of tasks in the field of countering the specified type of violations.

The results of this audit will make it possible to determine to what extent the BEB and its territorial divisions have ensured the completeness of the performance of the tasks specified by the relevant Law and to what extent the planned performance indicators in this area have been achieved. Based on the results of the audit, appropriate conclusions and recommendations will be formed.  

The report on the audit results will be considered at the meeting of the Accounting Chamber in July 2025.
