The development of the institutional capacity of the Accounting Chamber in the conditions of martial law and post-war reconstruction, as well as support for the scientific community in this process, among other topics, were discussed during the plenary session of the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Accounting, Control and Taxation on the Path of Post-War Restoration of Ukraine and Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals". The event took place on April 10 at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (hereinafter - KNEU).

The conference was attended by representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, the State Financial Monitoring Service, experts from Germany, Poland, Romania, Moldova and Azerbaijan. The Accounting Chamber was represented by the acting Secretary of the Accounting Chamber - Chief of Staff Vasyl Nevyadomy.
In his speech, Vasyl Nevyadomy outlined key achievements and institutional challenges for the Accounting Chamber and told about changes in the regulatory framework of its activities, updated approaches to planning and quality control, expanded powers, and cooperation with foreign experts, in particular, in the context of auditing international aid funds.

Vasyl Nevidomy paid special attention to the results of cooperation with the scientific community, which takes place within the framework of the work of the Advisory and Scientific Council of the Accounting Chamber. The Acting Secretary of the Accounting Chamber - Head of Staff told the conference participants about the role of scientific institutions in the development of the audit methodological base, noting that today a list of 17 audit topics has been formed, scientific support in which will be provided by members of the Council.
«We envisage the prospect of participation of members of the Advisory and Scientific Council in the process of implementing Article 25 of the Law of Ukraine «On the Accounting Chamber» regarding the provision of mandatory conclusions for consideration on draft legislative acts relating to issues of the status of the Accounting Chamber. A special place in our cooperation is occupied by the justification of the conceptual foundations and architectonics of the draft law "On Public Finances". We continue to count on powerful scientific support for our efforts,— summed up Vasyl Nevyadomy.

In turn, the Director of the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the NAS of Ukraine, Valeriy Geyets, emphasized that the transformation of the Accounting Chamber confirms the success of the practice of combining international experience with state scientific potential, and the Rector of KNEU, Dmytro Lukyanenko, emphasized that a proper accounting, monitoring and audit system must take into account modern environmental and social challenges.

The event also discussed international experience in accounting, analysis, auditing and taxation towards achieving sustainable development goals, regulatory policy and the challenges of post-war recovery, including demographic problems.
