The joint audits, dissemination of information on identified issues, results and main conclusions were discussed during a meeting of contact representatives of the supreme audit institutions of the European Union member states, which took place in Warsaw (Poland). On the eve of the event, a meeting of contact representatives of the supreme audit institutions of the Network of candidate countries and potential candidates for EU membership was held.

During the meeting of SAI representatives from EU member states, special attention was paid to discussing the EU's competitiveness in the face of new challenges, as well as exploring areas of common interest for the EU - financial support programs. SAIs from France, Belgium and the Czech Republic presented their experience. Finally, they discussed the preparation of the meeting of SAI heads - members of the Contact Committee*, which is scheduled to be held on 18-19 November in Malta.

At the same time, during the meeting of the Network of Candidate Countries and Potential Candidates for EU Membership, the main sources of support for their SAIs, such as projects, international technical assistance programs and multilateral professional initiatives, were discussed, as well as the challenges they face in implementing such support. In particular, the Advisor to the Head of the Accounting Chamber, Inna Slobodyan, who was present at the event, informed colleagues about the institution's cooperation with the project "Continuation of the Public Finance Management Support Program in Ukraine" (EU4PFM) and the Center for Audit Excellence of the US Government Accountability Office (as part of the USAID project),as well as about the bilateral support from SAIs to the participants of the EUROSAI Project Group "Support to the Accounting Chamber by EUROSAI". At the same time, she called on SAIs - members of the Network to cooperate within the framework of joint audits - a tool that has proven itself in the context of developing professional audit potential through the exchange of practical experience and best audit practices.

Inna Slobodyan also presented to foreign colleagues the Accounting Chamber's plans for organizing further cooperation with technical assistance projects and SAIs of other countries to support the implementation of the institution's new powers, in particular, the audit of local budgets and consolidated financial reporting.

The meeting participants discussed the principles of forming and further measures of the updated Network Work Plan for the period 2026-2028. In particular, an optimal planning period of two years with a detailed schedule of activities was identified.

Representatives of the SIGMA Programme, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) and the ECA Joint Audit Working Group joined the discussions within the framework of these activities.

Recall that in 2024, members of the Accounting Chamber, Yelizaveta Pushko-Tsybulyak and Kyrylo Klymenko participated in a meeting of the Contact Committee of the EU Member States on migration policy issues.
