What does the state pay for? Audit of state support for cinema has begun

The Accounting Chamber has launched a compliance audit on the topic of “State support for cinematography: what does the state pay for?”.

The purpose of the audit: to assess whether the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinematography in 2022-2024 complied with the norms and rules of management of the funds allocated by the state to support cinematography.

The auditors will examine the implementation of measures aimed at developing the national production of films, television series and television films, ensuring their presence in the Ukrainian and world box office, and carrying out measures to distribute and popularize the products of the national cinema.

Responsible for the audit is Yelizaveta Pushko-Tsybulyak, a member of the Accounting Chamber. Specialists of the Department of Control (Audit) in the field of culture, scientific activity, spiritual and physical development were involved in the implementation of the control measure.

Based on the results of the audit, the Accounting Chamber will formulate appropriate conclusions and recommendations. Consideration of the Report on this audit is planned for the summer of this year.
