Delays in the supply of drones: Audit launched on the procurement of unmanned systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Accounting Chamber has launched a compliance audit on the topic of “Procurement of unmanned systems”, during which it plans to examine the process of procurement for defense needs: the stages of planning, conclusion of contracts and control over their implementation.

Among the objects of control: the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Defense Procurement Agency.

As expected, the results of this audit will make it possible to identify shortcomings in procurement planning and provide recommendations for eliminating the causes of delays in the supply of unmanned systems. This will ultimately contribute to ensuring the urgent needs of the army in timely and high-quality provision of unmanned systems.

The audit is carried out by auditors of the Department of Control in the Field of Security, Defense and Military-Commercial Industry of the Department of Control (Audit) in the Field of Defense, Security, Judicial Procedure, Law Enforcement and Justice of the Accounting Chamber. The report on the results of this audit is planned to be published in November 2025.
