Protocol III Meeting of the EUROSAI WGEA Special Subgroup on the Audit of Natural, Man-caused Disasters Consequences and Radioactive Wastes Elimination

Following agenda and discussions held in the course of III Meeting of the EUROSAI WGEA Special Subgroup on the Audit of Natural, Man-caused Disasters Consequences and Radioactive Wastes Elimination on May 13, 2008 in Kyiv, Ukraine, the SAIs participating in the International Co-ordinated Audit of the Chernobyl Shelter Fund:

  1. Federal Court of Audit of Germany
  2. European Court of Auditors
  3. Supreme Chamber of Control of Poland
  4. Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation
  5. Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic
  6. Swiss Federal Audit Office
  7. Accounting Chamber of Ukraine,

agreed on the following:

1. Approve the Joint Report on the findings of the International Co-ordinated Audit of the Chernobyl Shelter Fund.

2. Agree with the timing and procedure of signing, presentation and distribution of the Joint Report within the framework of VII EUROSAI Congress that will be held in Krakow, Poland.

The member SAIs of the EUROSAI WGEA Special Subgroup on the Audit of Natural, Man-caused Disasters Consequences and Radioactive Wastes Elimination:

  1. State Supreme Audit of Albania
  2. European Court of Auditors
  3. Supreme Chamber of Control of Poland
  4. Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation
  5. Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic
  6. Accounting Chamber of Ukraine,

agreed on the following:

1. Take into consideration the prospective Special Subgroupґs activities for 2009-2011.

2. Accounting Chamber of Ukraine as the Chair of the Special Subgroup should prepare draft Working Plan for 2009-2011 prior to the next meeting.

3. Support the proposal of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine on the reorganization of the Special Subgroup into the EUROSAI Working Group on the Audit of Natural, Man-Caused Disasters and Radioactive Wastes.

4. After the EUROSAI Congress the Chairman of the Special Subgroup should inform all the participants on the decision taken, time and place of the next meeting.
