For people with visual impairments
On February 4, 2009 the delegation of the World Bank consisting of the experts from both Washington headquarters and regional office in Ukraine paid a working visit to the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine to meet the Deputy Chairman Mr. Oleksandr Yaremenko. Such event was conducted within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the SAI of Ukraine and the World Bank signed in December 2008.
This meeting provided a sound basis for discussions of the cooperation prospects in part of the activities of the EUROSAI Task Force on the Audit of Funds Allocated to Disasters and Catastrophes with the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine as its Chair and 16 participating European SAIs.
In addition Ukrainian counterpart informed the World Bank representatives about planned projects of the Task Force for 2009-2011 and cooperation on the expert level.
The Deputy Chairman invited the Bank experts to attend I Meeting of the EUROSAI Task Force on March 17−18, 2009 in Kyiv.
The participants agreed that with the assistance by the World Bank the Accounting Chamber will further enhance its capacity building and foster the exchange of experience to comply with the international auditing standards to the most.
