Oleksandr YAREMENKO was born in October 31, 1954 in Dmytrivka village of Bahmatskyi Raion in Chernihivsk oblast.

1979 – graduated from Kyiv National Economic Institute by the name of D.S. Korotchenko, specializing – National Economy Planning, qualification – economist.

1979 – 1982 – Inspector, Senior Inspector of the Ukrainian Republican Main Department of the State Structural Funds of the USSR.
1982 – 1990 – Senior Economist, Leading Economist, Head of Subunit, Deputy Head of the State Planning Section of the USSR.
1990 – 1991 – Deputy Head of Labor Department of the State Economy Committee.
1991 – 1995 – Head of Unit, Head of Unit of the Ministry of Economic of Ukraine.
1995 – 2000 – Deputy Minister of Economic of Ukraine.
2000 – 2002 – Advisor to the Prime-Minister of Ukraine.
2002 – 2003 – Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
2003 – 2005 – Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
2005 – 2018 – Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Oleksandr Yaremenko as the Deputy Chairman of the Accounting Chamber (Decree of the Verkhovna Rada dated 25 March 2005 No. 2503-IV).
On 15 March 2018, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Oleksandr Yaremenko as the Member of the Accounting Chamber (Decree of the Verkhovna Rada dated 15 March 2018 No. 2345-VIII).
