At the initiative of the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Valeriy Patskan, the Accounting Chamber of the russia will no longer chair the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions INTOSAI.

The General Secretariat and the Vice President of INTOSAI will manage the organization, which has 196 full members. This will take place until the President of INTOSAI, the Supreme Audit Institution of Brazil, is appointed in November 2022.

This was reported by the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Valeriy Patskan on his Facebook page.

The Secretary General of INTOSAI, the President of the Austrian Court of Audit, Margit Kracker, has sent a letter to the members of the INTOSAI Governing Board.

Margit Cracker is concerned about the war in Ukraine and insists on the importance of the humanitarian cohesion of the whole INTOSAI community. Moreover, the organization is committed to the goals of sustainable development of the United Nations, one of which is to achieve peace and justice.

"Due to my appeal to INTOSAI and EUROSAI Governing Board, which supported Ukraine in Russia's presidency immediately being terminated, the INTOSAI Secretary General met the Governing Board on this issue and the issue of the war in Ukraine. It turned out that the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Russia had informed the Governing Board about the impossibility of properly exercising his role as a Chair of INTOSAI due to "serious pressure".

One thing I can say to the head of the Accounting Chamber of Russia that is the cynicism. And you are also responsible for the destruction of Ukrainian cities and civilians of our state! Greatly appreciated the support of the EUROSAI and INTOSAI colleagues!!!", - Valeriy Patskan emphasized.
