In the near future, a working group on draft laws on reforming the Accounting Chamber will be launched at the Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee with the EU and the USA representatives engagement.
This was stated by Roksolana Pidlasa, MP and Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee, on her Facebook page.
"This time, the focus is on transparency and control over the use of European money. According to the European Commission's conclusions on Ukraine's membership application, Ukraine should expand the mandate of the Accounting Chamber and introduce the use of all international audit standards. I was pleased to announce that in the near future the Budget Committee will launch a working group on the draft laws on reforming the Accounting Chamber, to which, in particular, we will engage the EU and the US representatives," Roksolana Pidlasa wrote after a meeting with the European Parliament Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT).
Today, the Acting Chairman of the Accounting Chamber Andrii Maisner is in Krakow (Poland) for a working meeting with the Comptroller General of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (U.S. GAO) Gene Dodaro. The parties will discuss conducting audits in the areas of Ukraine's recovery, protection against terrorist attacks by the Russian Federation etc.
