Strengthening the approaches of the Accounting Chamber and development of human potential. A meeting was held with a partner company DAI

New ways and achievements in cooperation with the EU4ACU project, in particular regarding the improvement of audit methodologies and further improvement of staff skills, the development of the IT audit and the audit of consolidated financial statements at the state level, were discussed on July 29 during a working meeting by the management of the Accounting Chamber and the partner company DAI. The company is the executor of the international technical assistance project “Strengthening Capacities in External Audit in line with International Standards” (EU4ACU).

The Chairwoman of the Accounting Chamber Оlha Pishchanska, the Acting Secretary of the Accounting Chamber – Chief Administrative Officer Vasyl Nevidomyi, the Advisor to the Chairwoman of the Accounting Chamber Dmytro Storozhuk, the Vice-president of DAI Jakob Zeidler and the Local Project Coordinator Yuliya Yurchenko, took part in the meeting.

Оlha Pishchanska emphasized that despite limited human and material resources, the Accounting Chamber is constantly improving its approaches. This is especially important in view of the amount of international support provided to Ukraine and which needs to be monitored for proper use.

The Chairwoman of the Accounting Chamber told the partners about the current state of reforming the relevant legislation and the initiatives of the Accounting Chamber aimed at introducing in Ukraine the mandatory formation of consolidated financial statements at the government level and its audit by the Accounting Chamber.

In turn, Jakob Zeidler noted that DAI is ready to continue providing support to the Accounting Chamber, in particular, through cooperation with highly qualified European specialists in areas important to the Ukrainian SAI.

Reference: The DAI company has been cooperating with the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine since 2020 through the EU4ACU project, within which comprehensive expert support is provided to ensure the reform of the sphere of state external audit in Ukraine through the implementation of international standards, as well as measures are taken to increase the potential of the Accounting Chamber.
