The strengthening of cooperation on the exchange of experience for institutional development and improvement of the audit methodology was discussed during the working meetings of the Chairwoman of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine Olha Pishchanska with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and the leadership of the Office of the Auditor General of Norway. The working visit to Oslo (Norway) took place on 3-4 April.
During the meeting with the IDI team, Olha Pishchanska thanked for the support of the Accounting Chamber and emphasized that in the Development Strategy of the Accounting Chamber for 2019-2024, most of the performance indicators are based on the SAI Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF) developed by the IDI. At the same time, according to her, for the correct application of SAI PMF, specialists need to have an appropriate level of knowledge about its structure and methodology.
"The participation of our representatives in the SAI PMF training organized by IDI will allow our specialists to obtain the appropriate qualifications for its use. It would also contribute to the implementation of strategic management in the Accounting Chamber," Olha Pishchanska said.
The Сhairwoman of the Accounting Chamber also told the partners about the overall activities and achievements of the institution, including the restructuring and improvement of work processes in the context of the war. At the same time, the Director General of IDI Einar Gorrissen noted that the Accounting Chamber has taken positive steps towards development.
During the meeting with the Auditor General of Norway Karl Eirik Schjøtt-Pedersen, Olha Pishchanska emphasized that it is essential that the Accounting Chamber adopts the experience of the Office of the Auditor General of Norway in data analysis, in particular, the methodology and approaches.
In turn, Karl Eirik Schjøtt-Pedersen emphasized the importance of intensifying cooperation between the Ukrainian and Norwegian SAIs both within EUROSAI and at the bilateral level.
